Is PCCTI approved by the State?
Yes, PCCTI is approved by many State organizations, including the State Board of Education, and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Such organizations guarantee that PCCTI is up to their well established educational standards.
Does PCCTI offer payment plans?
PCCTI is affiliated with the Illinois Employment and Training Center (IETC), which enables elegible students to receive education grants from the State of Illinois. This is our most popular plan for enrollment. For alternative grants, we are also approved by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and the GI Bill program for student grants.
In addition, we are associated with Sallie Mae (SLM), which is the nation's leading provider of student loans. Such loans can be payed up to a year after application, meaning that the student can get the education necessary to enter the workforce, and then start paying the loan.
As another resource, we offer interest-free installments for all of our courses with minimal down-payment, regardless of credit condition.
How long has PCCTI been in business?
PCCTI has been in the education field since 1995, first offering IT Certification courses such as MCSE and CCNA, but then expanded in 2002 to Healthcare Certifications, such as Medical Billing and Coding, and Pharmacy Technician. Our many years of experience are a guarantee of the expertise that PCCTI has in the field.
How big are the classes? What about the Student to Instructor ratio?
Our classes are very small, most of the time being less than 12 students in a class, therefore our Student to Instructor ratio is usually between 3:1 and 12:1. Such a low ratio helps the individual students and creates a much more interactive classroom environment, where the students get their time to ask questions and discuss topics.
Are PCCTI's instructors certified?
Not only are our Instructors certified in their fields, but they are also approved by the Illinois State Board of Education. All of our instructors have extensive real-world experience in their fields, which in term elevates the educational level to a degree of usefulness in the job market.
What about the equipment used in classes?
PCCTI uses state-of-the-art equipment for classes. Our standard amenities for all classes include digital projectors, surround sound, powerful Pentium 4 3Ghz computers with up to 2GB of RAM and 17' LCD projectors, and all of our classrooms can comfortably sit students in full-back executive leather chairs.
Our Medical courses benefit from having dedicated Ultrasound Scanning equipment, dedicated Phlebotomy arm, and dedicated EKG equipment among others.
How flexible are the schedules?
Our schedules are designed to accomodate any possible need a student may have when it comes to taking classes. We understand the complations of going to a regular school, which offers most courses during the day, and only on weekdays.
We offer all of our courses in Day, Evening, Saturday and Sunday schedules for convenience and availability. Saturday and Sunday courses are our most popular ones since they provide the highest degree of flexibility for a working adult.
Does PCCTI offer placement assistance?
PCCTI's Career Development department assists you in obtaining employment. Our services include Career Counseling and Advising, Resume Development and Critique, Internships and Clinicals, and finally Job Placement Assistance. Please note that we do not guarantee employment, our Career Development services are complimentary.+
